About, sources & disclosure
UK PC Builder Index compares UK custom PC builders using only what they publish: warranty terms, collect & return, and stated build times. Every fact has a source link and a “last checked” date (20 October 2026 for the current data).
How we collect data
- We read each builder’s own warranty, FAQ and delivery pages, one request per page, respecting robots.txt. No aggressive crawling.
- Where a site blocks automated access, we check by hand or mark the fact “not verified”.
- Where a builder’s pages contradict each other (e.g. Chillblast, CREATE PCs), we show both and flag it.
- Trustpilot ratings are only shown where the builder displays them on its own site, and are labelled that way. We do not scrape Trustpilot.
Affiliate & advertising disclosure
Some links may become affiliate links (e.g. via Awin), which pay us a small commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links will be marked “(affiliate)” and use rel="sponsored". Featured listings are paid and always labelled. Neither changes the data we show or the default order (alphabetical).
Contact & corrections
Builders and readers can email corrections, with a link to the published source, to hello@pcbuilderindex.co.uk. The same address handles listing and featured-listing enquiries (see List your shop).
